To open an account or register as a guest checkout for ordering, you must confirm that all information that you are required to provide must be true, accurate, current in all respects.

* Some age restricted products and services on our website are only purchased by the customer aged 18 and over to comply with legislation.

H-mart e-shop only use the information that we collect about customer’s detail lawfully in accordance with the data Protection Act 1998) the reasons is to provide customer with the best possible service.

The type of information we may collect about customer includes;

  • Customer Privates Phone number
  • Address detail
  • Email address
  • Credit/Debit card details

 

H-mart will never collect sensitive information about customer details without explicit consent. If customer fined any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

  • Click the 'Already Registered Information' and enter the information you wish to change.

  • To add or edit your address, log into your account and go to 'My Account' page. (Located at the top right of each page).
  • Click the 'MY ADDRESSES'.
  • To edit the shipping information (address with post code), click the 'Update' button and enter the information you wish to change. Then click the 'Save' button to process your information.
  • To add a new shipping address, click the 'Add a new address' enter the information you wish to add, and then click the 'Save' button to update your information.

 

Billing and Payment Information

  • Log into your account and go to ‘Shopping-Cart Summary' page by clicking 'Shopping Cart'  (Located at the top right of each page).
  • Click the ‘Check out’ and the choose ‘Already Registered’ or click the new customer ‘Guest checkout’
    • To add ‘Account details’ and then add information.
    • To add ‘Delivery Address’ and click ‘Save’ button.
  • To click Terms and Conditions.
  • Select ‘Delivery Methods’ then choose ‘a shipping company option for this address’ then click.
  • ‘Choose Your Payment Method'.
  • To edit the payment card detail, click the 'Submit Payment' button and enter the information you wish to change.
    Then click the 'Save' button to update your information.
  • New billing information, enter the information you wish to add, and then click the ‘Save' button to update your information.
  • To click ‘I confirm my order’ or other payment methods.

5. Closing Account

Closing Account

Once your account is closed, customers (as a Guest) are possible to purchase products without making account. Especially the hmart.co.uk online customers are able to continue purchase while shopping at eShop.
If you ever want to order from us again or take advantage of any other features of hmart.co.uk you will need to make a new account.

If you still want to close your account, please email us eshop@hmart.co.uk to request that your account be closed.
Please make sure to send your email address associated with the account you would like to close, so that we can verify your identity.

Sign In
Returning Customers: Log into 'My Account' using the same email address and password used when the account was created. For password assistance, you may click Forgot your password? And we will email you the password. 
New Customers: New customers will need to create an account. Go to first page.

Finding Items
You can use the top navigation bars to shop by categories or use the keyword ‘search box’ to find your desired items. When you find an item that interests you, click the title or name of the item to see its product detail page including features and description.

Adding Items to Shopping Cart
To order an item enter the quantity you would like, then click the ‘Add to Cart’ button.
You can access the contents of your Shopping Cart at any time by clicking ‘My Cart’ on the right or ‘View Cart’ at the top of every page.

Proceed to Checkout
When you finish shopping, please review all of the items you've placed in your Shopping Cart. When you’re ready to make an order, click the ‘Continue Checkout’ button.

Changing Quantities

To change the quantity of items enter the number in the box under the ‘Quantity’ column and click the ‘Update’ button under the list of items.

Shipping and Delivery

we deliver to most addresses within 2 or 3 working days.  Customer orders are dispatched within 24hours after the payment has been completed. Any orders after 08:00AM 'Shipping and Delivery' will not be taken on the same day but shall be despatched on the next working day.

Substitute Policy

There are occasions where we stock out on certain items due to unexpectedly high demand or a supply shortage. Please let us know whether you would like us to send you substitute items (similar in quality and price) if an item is out of stock. If you indicate to us that you would like to receive only the exact items you order, we will ship your order without the stocked-out items.

Delivery Address

Tell us where you would like to ship your order. You can add, edit, or delete shipping addresses while you are in this step of the checkout process. Click the ‘Ship to this Address’ to continue checkout. 
* Long distance (St. Martin’s, Isle of Man) addresses are accepted.
* Shipping service is only available within the UK.
* Incomplete or incorrect address can cause delayed shipping courier service.

Payment Info.
You can store multiple credit cards to use for your Hmart.co.uk purchase. You can add, edit, or delete payment information while you are in this step of the checkout process. Select one card for the payment of your order. Click the ‘Select Payment’ button to continue checkout.

Review all the information you have entered and make any necessary changes. Then, click the ‘I confirm my order’ button to submit your order. DO NOT DOUBLE-CLICK OR THE SYSTEM WILL DUPLICATE YOUR ORDER. Once you place your order, we will send you an order confirmation email.

Check Your Order Status
After placing your order; you can always check your order status & history from the ‘Your Account’ link on the top right corner of every page on our site.

7. Changing/Cancelling an Order

Once your order has been submitted successfully, it begins processing immediately and the order will be in the "Processing status". During the ‘Processing’ status, it may be possible to change or cancel your order, but once the order moves into the ‘Shipped’ status, it cannot be changed. 
If you need to cancel your order or change the delivery address during ‘Shipped’ status, 'individualiy not be possibel' but we can request a shipping company to intercept the package before it is delivered or reroute to a new address. However, you are responsible for all shipping charge. You must call a Customer Service to make any changes or cancel your order before it is delivered.

8. Product Availability

Product Availability   

Items listed on Hmart.co.uk are currently in stock and ready to ship. In rare cases, some items may be out of stock and not available for shipping due to unforeseen demand or supplier shortage. Based on the Stock out Policy that you choose from the checkout page, we will contact customer to explain this and send a substitute item that is comparable in content and quality to the originally ordered product (only if the originally ordered product is unavailable) or send only the items in stock.

Our stock is replenished on every week and sometimes daily basis depending on the particular item and brand. We recommend that you regularly check which items are back in stock.

Ordering in Quantity
We reserve the right to limit quantities of items to order, depending on the items, category, weight, price, and to prohibit sales to retailers as well. Occasionally our inventory of an item may be limited and we may unable to ship the amount you’d like to order. If you’d like to purchase an item in large quantities, please contact us before you place your order.
But sometimes, price and items availability online might differ compared to a store. Hmart.co.uk is also able to offer a broader selection of online-only items and promotions than the stores do because we ship these items directly from our distribution centres, without necessarily having to stock them in our stores. You will find great deals on Hmart.co.uk that are not offered in the stores.


9. Substitute Items

Substitute Items

On rare occasions after you place your order, an item that you have purchased may be out of stock. This happens either if there is an unforeseen demand or a shortage of items. In case there is an out of stock item on your list, we ask you if you’d like to have a substitute item, which would be very similar to the item you originally ordered, or if you’d like to receive only those items that are in stock. Any substitute items will be marked as such. 
* The difference in amount due to the substitute items will be credited or charged to the original purchasing credit/debit card account number.
If you're not happy with the replacement, we hope you'll email us so we can make it right.

The Items purchase of certain products and services made available on the Hmart.co.uk are subject to age requirements specified by law.

Online eShop(Hmart.co.uk) and our markets are not permitted by law to supply alcoholic etc. products or services to individuals who do not satisfy these age requirements and, if customer(including Guest consumer) underage, you must not attempt to order and purchase at Hmart.co.uk.

In particular, please note that age restrictions apply in the UK to the purchase of the products and services listed below. By placing an order for any of the following products or services you confirm that customer (and, if different, the recipient of the product and or service) satisfy the age requirements necessary to buy that products or service:

Make sure customer (including Guest consumer) follow these guideline. If you don’t, you may be subject to a range of actions, including limits of your buying and suspension of your information.

 

* Alcohol can only be purchased by, and for, individuals age 18 and over.

* Knives (all Knives, all kitchen cutlery knives) or bladed articles. Knives and bladed items can only be purchased by, and for, individuals age 18 and over.


11. Chilled and Frozen Product Orders

Chilled and Frozen Products requiring refrigeration need special care in handling and hence require special packing materials.

Any orders Containing Fresh and Chilled products (Kimchi, Tofu, and etc) are packed with cooling materials in polystyrene boxes and Express delivery (Next day delivery) is only available in our eshop for keeping the items better qualities.

Any orders with chilled products are dispatched Monday-Thursday and will be delivered the next day. (Friday-Sunday orders will be dispatched on the following Monday.)

Especially frozen products will defrost during delivery. when delivered, please keep it refrigerated and consume by as soon as possible.(Please do not refreeze.)

We will not able to guarantee the quality of fresh/chilled products with any delays of the delivery caused by the absence of the customer on the day of delivery. Upon reasons, any damages of chilled and frozen items cannot be refundable.

We will not be able to guarantee the quality of chilled products with any unforeseen delays to the delivery of chilled and frozen products after the order has been dispatched.

Payment Method

H mart.co.uk. will take payment from you via its secure payment system at the eShop receives your order. In the event that Hmart.co.uk is unable to supply items, our eShop staffs inform you of this as soon as possible. A refund will be given if you already paid for the items.

Refunds for transactions made using a Credit or debit card may takeup to 7-10 working days including weekends and bank holidays.

We accept the following methods of payment:

* Hmart.co.uk accepts Visa, Visa debit, and credit cards as well as Master Cards bearing the MasterCard or Visa logo. We do not accept Personal Cheque, Cash, or any other payment method not listed above. 
* Our Hmart.co.uk does not accept American Express Credit Cards.

* Your credit/debit card will be charged immediately once your order is submitted. 
In case, we find that there is an out-of-stock item or a substitute item from the list of your purchased items during shipping process, the difference in amount will be credited or charged to the original purchasing credit/debit card account number. It usually takes up to 7-10 working days to process the refund request from the bank. 

* We are committed to protecting your privacy. Hmart.co.uk will never sell or rent any of your personal information under any circumstances. 

Online Payment System

‘Realex’ Payments is one of the secure payment providers in the payment processing market. Customer payment will be processed by ‘Realex’. Customer card details are entered over a secure server system. The payment information is encrypted before being processed. (Realex payment systems are fully accredited with level 1 PCI DSS compliance, keeping customer data secure is our number one priority.)

Consolidate Payment Process (Transaction Process)

Step 1: Shopping Website at Hmart / eShop

The customer enters their credit /Debit card details on a secure web page. The secure web page can be hosted on the merchant site or on a secure page hosted by Realex Payments.

Step 2: Acquiring Bank

Realex payments send the authorisation request to the Acquiring Band.

Step 3: Card Schemes

The acquiring bank sends the transaction through the card schemes before proceeding to the issuing Bank.

Step 4: Issuing Bank

The transaction is authorised or declined and fraud checked at the issuing Bank

Step 5: Transaction Message

An authorised or declined message is displayed to the customer on the Hmart.co.uk website.

Step 6: Transaction Complete!

The whole transaction process from Steps 1 to 6 takes just 3-4 seconds to complete.

The ‘STRIPE’ Payments systems are certified by all major UK & Irish acquiring banks.

Where does H Mart Online deliver?

Customer orders are dispatched within 1 business day after payment has been completed. We deliver to most addresses within 2 or 3 working days all UK areas via Parcel Force(Home Delivery) after the parcel dispatched.  Any order after 08:00AM will not be taken on the same day but shall be dispatched on the next working day.

If customer orders on Saturday, Sunday the delivery system will continue next Monday or Tuesday. Even if customer chooses Express services it will not be delivered on weekend. Customer item orders shall be delivered to the shipping address specified by customer on the completed order system. The shipping times based on customer post code. (In remote areas courier system may not be able to deliver within 2 or 3 working days)

How does H Mart Online deliver?

After we have picked and packed your order, your order is handed over to the Parcel Force or UPS Ground crew who makes daily pickups at our warehouse in New Malden. Once your package is in the Parcel Force or UPS system, the package can be tracked with real-time visibility until it is received and signed by a recipient. Our Courier policies require that all deliveries are signed by a recipient. Customers living in buildings, flat with security may have the Security man sign on their behalf.

14. Delivery

Delivery

All the Items that Customer has ordered should be in our stock for dispatch. But in the event that items are not, automatically items will be removed from eShop and notify customer both online shop and ordered customer so that substituted or deduced price, it depending on which of those options customer chose during the dispatching process. If this occurs we carefully informed this fact to the customer by phone call or email before delivery.

If Customer are not at home when delivery arrives, according to our courier system (only the Parcel Force) will try to reach you by the phone, a text message. If delivery fails to get hold of you, we try and leave item with a neighbour, instead of taking it back to the Local Royal Mail delivery office. If your neighbour is not available to accept an item, we will try to leave it with another neighbour. We post a ‘something for you’ card through your letter box will let you know.

 Refund Policy

If customer receives an incorrect, damaged or defective item, you can request a replacement or full refund. Please contact us we can process refunds for items directly. Upon arrival of your return, we will initiate the refund process. You should expect to receive the refund within a week of sending your package to the return shipper. Refunds will be credited first to the original purchasing credit or debit card account and will take approximately 72 hours to reflect this transaction from your financial institution.

Customer may remain responsible for the delivery charge and this will be deducted from payment before refunded to the customer. If the items we deliver are not what you ordered, damaged or defective or incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to the customer unless notifies us but if customer sends an email or telephone called, would be having best solution within 14 days. We shall have no obligation after 14 days if customer does not notify us a problem or any unexpected condition, subject etc.

Alternatively if customer wants to refund without return the purchased Items back, it is very difficult and hard, according to our system rules. Refund does not follow this. Hmart Terms and Conditions without process or original products shouldn’t come within 14 working days; we shall not be able to whole refund, to sort this, customer should call or email the customer service, or send a message to the Hmart FAQ section. If all procedures are clear according to Terms and Conditions, would be refunded equal of expense.

If the product was not damaged, defective or the wrong item was shipped, you are responsible for all shipping charges. We recommend you return the item via a track able carrier method such as Parcel Force or UPS for proof of delivery. Hmart.co.uk cannot replace or provide credit for any item lost during return shipping.

 

Return Policy

You may return new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Items must be returned in new or unused condition and contain all original materials included with the shipment. Products that have been used will be refused and returned to sender at the sender's expense.  if an incorrect item was shipped(Damaged or Defective Items, not any original items) you may not received full costs of credit.

If the return is a result of our error, we will refund the full cost of the merchandise and shipping charges. Additional guidelines are also noted below.

- Items that has signs of use

Hmart.co.uk ships to post code addresses within 2 or 3 working day of whole UK. Unfortunately, we do not ship to EUROPE. Hmart.co.uk usually ship out merchandises within 24 hours from the date received your order. You will be notified by e-mail if there is any extraordinary circumstance.

Return, Refund, and Exchange

No cancellation or refund of order already delivered to the designated recipient shall be allowed, except: (a) when the delivered product was defective; (b) when the product was delivered damaged.
